“And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his donkey.”
~ Genesis 22:3
Abraham spent decades teaching that an Infinite Creator abhors human sacrifice. Yet, when God asks him to sacrifice his beloved Isaac, Abraham jumps at the opportunity.
He even saddles his own donkey, something usually done by servants and therefore totally unbefitting for someone so wise and wealthy. Why go so far?
Because of his great love.
Love isn’t blind but blinding. It disrupts natural order and breaks protocol. If you’re concerned about what people think, you’re probably not in love.
